Joint Commission
of the DHST and the DLMPS
The International Union of History and Philosophy of Science (IUHPS, a member of the International Council for Science) has two Divisions, the Division of History of Science and Technology (DHST) and the Division of Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science (DLMPS).
For a number of years the two Divisions have maintained a Joint Commission in order to enhance cooperation between them. The main responsibility of the Joint Commission has been to explore research fields of mutual interest to historians and philosophers of science and technology by means of Joint Conferences and symposia on topics of mutual interest. The current Chair of the Joint Commission is Dr Jay Malone. He is the Executive Director of the international History of Science Society.
